If it is possible, Susan Huizinga is both a one man band and a one woman show.
Her unflagging passion for this art form is palpable and contagious. It is the driving
force behind the many successful shows that I have seen her produce and direct.
Maureen Kokeas, Parent
Her drive and ambition to promote children’s performances and nurture hundreds of children will have a lifelong affect on the many she has guided. The confidence and experiences she has exposed these young adults to will stay with them forever.
Arielle Nicole Jurado, Student
In all my years as an actress, some directors stand out for their great qualities such as the ability to lead and the passion for their craft and Susan is one of those people. She is well known for her intelligence, work ethic, positive attitude, teamwork mentality, leadership and most of all, dedication to her cast as well as to theater.
My name is Susan Huizinga and I created Theater On The Go! to ensure that every student has the opportunity to perform in musicals, the faithful American Art form.
My fifteen year background bringing musical theater to schools, churches, places of worship and community centers helps Theater On The Go! to meet that goal.
My mission is to bring musical theatre everywhere because of the values it teaches: the love of art, team work, history, dance, song, acting skills, English language and the sheer joy it brings to young cast members and their families and friends.
What I bring to the table is years of experience working with the school community (parents, teachers, staff, our local reps, and parent teacher associations) to bring a very high level of theatrical sophistication to schools with little or no experience, budget or resources, bringing out the talent in children of all ages.
Theater On The Go! Encompasses:
Specifically performing arts.
Our Youth On Stage
A youth show sometimes has a greater impact and greater exposure for the venue or school simply because families are involved and will come to see the show.
The Benefit To So Many
When working on a show, children make life-long friends, find a productive passion and a purpose, learn to interpret scripts, take direction, learn the basics of music, dance and acting. All for a small fee versus taking dance, voice and acting classes. They get to perform on stage.
A priceless experience for them and their families.
Your child may not remember their teacher, or their history or their math class or their English class, or their language class, but they will take with them forever, the joy remembering their time on stage and behind stage, making friends and lifelong memories.
It's my passion and my life's work. Below I listed some of my credentials. Please feel free to call me at 646 938 6589 or email me at email@example.com.
As President and Producer of Narrows Community Theater, I have produced over twenty full musical productions involving all ages. I am currently Treasurer.
A Christmas Carol, Wizard of Oz, 42nd Street, Les Miserables, School Edition, Mame, Hello Dolly, Jekyll & Hyde, Sweeney Todd, etc...many more...
